Procedure And Conditions For Admissions

  I) All the lists notifying eligibility criteria for admission to various under-graduate courses are subject to the       number of seats available. Therefore, it should be noted that all those applicants having minimum       qualification may not be able to secure admission.

 II) The criteria for admission to various courses will be displayed on the College Notice Board on the dates       prescribed by the University. The applicant should satisfy himself/herself regarding fulfilling the criteria in       every respect. While doing so, marks obtained by the applicant in C.B.S.E. or equivalent examination in       the subjects taught in the College should be taken into account.

III) Candidates who fulfil eligibility criteria and who have applied for admission to the College should contact       the respective Departmental Representatives between 9.30 A.M. and 10.30 A.M. in the room notified for       the purpose along with the acknowledgment receipt of the Admission Form issued by the College. The       teachers after checking the document will supply three admission forms. The admission form should be       submitted to the office at the time of admission along with the following original documents (plus an       attested copy of each)

  i) Provisional Certificate from the Principal of the School/College last attended on the basis of which       admission is being sought

 ii) Date of Birth Certificate (Secondary School or equivalent Examination Certificate)

iii) Original Marks Sheet issued by the Board/University

iv) Character Certificate from the Head of Institution last attended

 v) Six recent passport size photographs

IV) The Department of English had been in the past holding entrance test for admission to B.A. (Hons.)       English 1st year. The details for the test for admission for the academic year 2005-2006 shall be notified       separately on the college Notice-Board.

 V) Confidential marks sheet will be accepted by the College if it is sent by the Registrar, University of Delhi,       to the College Principal in a sealed cover or if it is sent by the concerned University by registered post to       the College Principal.

VI) The applicant should personally present himself/herself to the Admission in-charge at the time of       admission.

However, in very exceptional cases, he/she should get the permission of the Convenor, Admission Committee in writing, stating reasons for his/her absence and authorizing someone to secure admission on his/her behalf.

Note:

1. Candidates seeking admission in the College who have passed C.B.S.E. or equivalent examination      in the year 2004 may be considered for admission to 1st year provided they have not sought      admissions in any other course College during the year 2004-2005 but appeared in an entrance      examination of some professional courses e.g., M.B.B.S., Engineering, Pharmacy, etc. in the year      2005. Such candidates must contact the concerned Department along with all original certificates      and some documentary evidence to the effect that they appeared in the aforesaid entrance      examination during the year 2004-2005. Their cases of admission shall be considered after the      expiry of 2nd admission list subject to availability of seats.

2. Applicants for B.A. (Hons.) Music should contact the college office along with the acknowledgements      slip issued by the Music Faculty. Their admission will be finalised by the Convenor, Admission      Committee.
