STUDENTS FROM OVERSEAS |

Students from overseas of Indian or Foreign nationality are encouraged to apply to LSR. They are advised to get in touch with the the ‘Foreign Students Advisor, c/o Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi, Delhi 110007 India, and obtain a letter certifying: |
I) Eligibility |
II) The equivalence of the student's grades with those of the Indian boards. |
III) The applicant holds a regular student visa / long term visa. Applicants are encouraged to complete this formality by end May / early June. |
In addition to having taken the 'A' Level examination of the GCE, applicants are required to have their confidential results posted to the Principal as soon as possible in order to meet the deadlines for application. The admission of foreign students will be provisional subject to confirmation on production of a valid Medical Certificate within one month of admission, from the National Institute of Communicable Diseases, Delhi. |
Students who have passed the GCE examination require at least three 'O' Level and two 'A' Level papers. Equivalence already exists as per University Guidelines. For students who have taken the International Baccalaureate (IB) too, guidelines for equivalence are available at the Delhi University. (The DU website may be reached at www.du.ac.in). However, the minimum requirement for admission to various courses in terms of the required subjects will also be adhered to along with the 4% negative weightage for vocational subjects as stipulated by the College (please refer to the Admission Guidelines available at College). For students who have graduated from the American High School System equivalence will be worked out on the basis of the SAT scores. Alternatively, such students are required to have maintained an average of A, with English and four subjects, of which not more than two should from the same area. However the minimum requirement for admission to the various courses in terms of the required subjects will also be adhered to along with the 4% negative weightage for vocational subjects as stipulated by the college (please refer tot the admission guidelines). For all other Boards, University equivalence clearly stating the percentage will have to be obtained from the office of the Registrar, University of Delhi. |
The college may also conduct a test/ interview to evaluate the suitability of any student who has graduated from non Indian Boards. |
