The questions (mostly problems) will be from the material covered in B.Sc. and M.Sc. courses of Physics, Mathematics and Physical Chemistry in Indian Universities with emphasis on Physics.

Candidates will be tested on broad-based knowledge at the B.Sc. (General) level of Physics, Physical Chemistry and Mathematics.

Questions (mainly problems) will be asked from the following areas: Mechanics, Electricity and Magnetism, Waves and Optics, Modern Physics, Physical Chemistry and Basic Mathematics.
