For students who completed CAIIB under old system (i.e. before February 1999)
Candidates who have completed CAIIB before February 1999, can seek credit transfer for a maximum of Courses viz., MS-4: Accounting and Finance for Managers, MS-9: Managerial Economics and MS-491: Law and Practice relevant to Banking, against CAIIB qualification. To seek this credit transfer they have to specifically apply in the admission application form itself and send it to the Regional Director concerned along with the requisite certificates and pay the requisite fee.
If a candidate has completed some Diploma(s) besides the CAIIB, then he is entitled to the credit transfer of one / two more courses (in addition to the above three courses) as follows:
For completing DIB, credit transfer for MS-424: International Bank Management
For completing DFS, credit transfer for MS-44: Security Analysis and Portfolio Management
For completing DBM, credit transfer for MS-1: Management Functions and Behaviour and MS-6: Marketing for Managers in case he opted for Bank Marketing or MS-8: Quantitative Analysis for Managerial Applications in case he opted for Quantitative Methods in Banking as optional courses in DBM.
For getting credit transfer for these additional one/two courses as specified above, the candidate has to apply specifically to Registrar (SR&ED) in the format given in this itself alongwith requisite certificates, marks lists and specified fee.
For students who completed CAIIB under the Revised examination system (with effect from February 1999) Candidates who have completed their CAIIB after February 1999, can seek credit transfer for the following 5 courses:
MS-4: Accounting and Finance for Managers
MS-424: International Banking Management
MS-491: Law and Practice relevant to Banking
MS-491: Law and Practice relevant to Banking
One of the following courses, according to whichever elective course, he has cleared for the CAIIB examination:
MS-421: HRM in Financial Services Sector
MS-423: Marketing of Financial Services
MS-425: Electronic Banking and IT in Banks
These candidates have to apply for credit transfer in the admission application form itself and send it to the Regional Director concerned with the requisite fee, certificate and marks list.
Credit transfer for courses completed from Management Programme of IGNOU In case any candidate completes any of the courses in Management under the university’s Management Programme, he can seek full credit transfer for all those courses if these courses do not form part of any specialization Diploma or MBA degree. These will be in addition to the credits transferred from CAIIB and other Diplomas of IIB. For this purpose they have to apply to Registrar (SR&ED) in the form given in this web site.
