There are four stages of the Russian university track. The first stage requires two years of secondary education. The second stage, the Bachelor (Bakalavr) degree program, consists of four years of university-level courses. Students who have completed the Bachelor program may then go on to the Master's program (Magistr) or Specialist Degree program. The Master's degree program requires two years of study while the Specialist Degree program requires one year. Holders of a Master's or Specialist degree may then go on to the final stage, an Aspirantura program, obtained by an intense three years of study. |
