Who needs an Irish Study Visa for your study to Ireland?

European Union

Students coming from the European Union (EU) do NOT need an Irish Visa. A valid, current EU passport is normally all that is required. As a citizen of an EU Member State, you will only need your Identity Card / current Passport. You will benefit from similar rights to Irish students.

International Students coming from OUTSIDE the European Union

These students will need an Irish Study Visa

What you need to apply for an Irish Visa

An Official Letter of Acceptance offering you a place on a recognized course in an Irish University, Institute of Technology or approved Private College.
